ABF The Soldiers Charity, Chelsea

To commemorate 100 years since the start of World War I, the ABF The Soldiers Charity show garden at RHS Chelsea Flower Show 2014 was both poignant and beautiful.  Designed by Charlotte Rowe and built by Outdoor Options, this gold medal winning garden was perfectly executed.

The opportunity to work on such high profile projects with such illustrious colleagues gave us the perfect platform to demonstrate our skills.

The main metal feature of the garden was the 10m long sheet metal wall.  Fabricated from mild steel, we developed a method of manufacture in conjunction with both the designer and the contractor.

Modular panels each 2.4m high formed a striking back drop to the subtle planting scheme.

In addition to the main wall, the garden included numerous capping trims and details.  For these a particular mild steel was used simply clear lacquered after manufacture.
