Design
Our involvement in the conceptual design process depends very much on the requirements of the individual client and the complexity of the project. On this occasion we had dimensional drawings only, therefore it is our job to engineer the design.
Many years experience and constant dialogue with the client ensures we interpret the information correctly. 3D models ensure we can build the planter on screen, highlight any potential problems before submitting them for client approval.
Once the design is accepted, the manufacturing process begins. The 3D models are "unfolded" to produce flat blanks. The parts are then nested onto sheets with minimal waste. The programs are then exported to production. This system is critical because it means the finished planter is produced directly from the original 3D model.
On entering production, each planter is bar coded and issued with its own unique works order number giving us traceability and ensuring that it's progress can be accurately tracked.
Galvanised sheet steel is allocated which again is fully traceable.
