Interior Planters & Seating
St James’s
Interior planters with integrated cantilevered seating and laser-cut feature panels, developed with concealed lighting for a commercial refurbishment scheme in St James’s, London.
About the project
Developed in collaboration with Bowles & Wyer, this project formed part of the refurbishment of 78 St James’s, London, incorporating bespoke interior planters with integrated seating and feature panels.
As an interior installation, particular focus was placed on irrigation and water management. The planters were fabricated in stainless steel with a fully watertight construction, allowing controlled drainage while preventing internal corrosion.
Decorative laser-cut panels were integrated into the planters, incorporating concealed LED lighting and matching the pattern detail used externally. All fixings were concealed to maintain a clean and consistent finish while allowing access for maintenance.
Cantilevered iroko seating was supported from within the planter structure, creating a floating appearance while maintaining structural integrity.
