About the project

Working closely with designer Arit Anderson and Parkinson's UK, Outdoordesign manufactured three bespoke curved steel planters for the Parkinson's UK Garden at RHS Chelsea Flower Show 2026.

Each planter was formed to a different radius, 7m long, creating a progression of curves through the garden. The planters also increased in width, requiring each unit to be individually developed to achieve the geometry specified within the design.

Fabricated from 3mm mild steel, the planters incorporated concealed bolted connections below the planting surface, together with radius corners, internal bracing and drainage provisions. The completed planters featured a crisp exposed top edge and were finished in a patinated bronze coating, achieving the clean and understated appearance specified within the design.

The garden was awarded a Silver-Gilt Medal and voted the People's Choice Garden at RHS Chelsea Flower Show 2026.
