Vent holes perform a second equally important role. They allow molten zinc to flow freely into hollow sections and, just as importantly, allow it to drain back out again once the product is removed from the galvanising bath.

Without correctly positioned vent and drainage holes, galvanising cannot be carried out safely or effectively. They are therefore an essential part of designing products intended for Hot Dipped Galvanising.
