About the project
Working in collaboration with Landscape Associates, we supplied the raised landscape edging scheme for this private garden in St John’s Wood, London.
The edging was fabricated from mild steel with an exposed square top edge. Equally spaced gusset plates and base plates were positioned below the planting surface to provide structural support to the raised sections.
The base plates allowed the edging to be securely bolted to a concrete strip foundation, with the structural connections concealed below the finished ground level.
Following fabrication, the mild steel was finished with a real bronze coating which was then patinated to produce the specified aged appearance.
