About the project

Working with Aileen Scoular, we manufactured a series of bespoke planters and landscape edging for this private garden in Herne Hill, including a large L-shaped planter separating the raised seating area from the lower entrance to the property.

Restricted access presented a key consideration for the main planter. It was therefore manufactured in two sections to allow delivery through the property, before being bolted together on site to form the completed structure.

The scheme also included wall-mounted steel planters, developed to provide additional planting against the existing brick walls while maintaining the same material and finish used throughout the garden.

All of the planters and edging were fabricated from mild steel before being hot dipped galvanised, providing a durable protective coating with the characteristic varied surface appearance of the galvanising process.
