Planters and Water Features
Notting Hill

Stainless steel water features, structural framework and powder coated steel planters manufactured for a residential courtyard development in Notting Hill.

About the project

Working with Peter Reader Landscapes, we manufactured a range of bespoke metalwork for the courtyard of a residential conversion in Notting Hill. The project included a stainless steel water feature, rill and reflective pool, together with structural framework for a raised patio and eight powder coated steel planters in five different sizes.

The water system was fabricated from 316 stainless steel and incorporated a blade and catch pool feeding into a winding rill before terminating at a larger reflective pool. Stainless steel was selected for its corrosion resistance together with its forming and welding characteristics for the fabricated water elements.

The scheme also required a supporting steel framework for the patio, allowing the finished surface to appear to float above the surrounding water. The combination of restricted dimensions, changing levels and interconnected water features required accurate coordination between the individual fabricated components and the surrounding construction.

The eight planters were manufactured from mild steel in five different sizes and powder coated prior to installation.
