About the project
Developed in collaboration with Lucy Wilcox Garden Design, this project involved the fabrication of raised landscape edging to form a series of terraced planting and lawn areas within a private garden in Putney Heath, London.
The installation utilised our Series 3 edging system in 6mm mild steel, incorporating a square top edge to achieve a clean and contemporary profile. Structural support was provided by welded triangular gusset plates to the rear face, with base plates fixed to concrete foundations to ensure stability across varying heights.
A total of 47 linear metres of edging was installed, with heights ranging from 350mm to 800mm. Following fabrication, all components were hot dipped galvanised and then patinated to accelerate the natural weathering process, resulting in a durable finish with a varied surface character.
